Summer is a time when local farmers, churches, and the Dare to Care Food Distribution Center in Louisville donate fresh fruits and vegetables for needy families to Centro Latino.
Volunteers help with the unloading, packing and carrying of bags of food for elderly and those unable to carry bags filled with baked goods, other groceries and heavy produce.
This is a significant help to those who do not have enough food to feed their families.
Additionally Volunteer Teams from Louisville take turns picking up Panera breads, pastries, cookies, muffins and bagels and bringing them to Centro Latino where they can be distributed to families in need.
From a World War II Veteran to the youngest children, Centro Latino is able to share foods with those who are in need.
We help the elderly, those without jobs or without steady work, the medically disabled and other families in need.
